Staying in shape Coffee Cutie continued their hot streak at Tabtouch Park Mandarah last Friday.

Coffee Cutie was making her debut on the 647m course but entered the race with three wins in her last four starts at Cannington.

Jumping from box eight, Coffee Cutie landed in midfield early but quickly pushed on the lead group and zoomed forward down the backstretch.

The talented beast then took off to score by more than nine lengths in 36.81s.

The result confirmed that coach Tania Thomas has Coffee Cutie humming as they head to next month’s Group 1 Galaxy in Cannington.

In other races, Nambeelup-based trainer Lewis Clay picked up a pair of victories with Mild Marcus and Lucci Guru.

Mild Marcus held on to score narrowly over Grade 4 Marla Penny in the 405m, while Lucci Guru made a successful return to the circuit.

Lucci Guru hadn’t been on the track since September last year but looked sharp in the Grade 5 Essential Aircor Services over 405m.

After finding himself near the back of the pack at the start, Lucci Guru upped his rating and fought his way through the pack.

Despite going wide in the turn, Lucci Guru came home with a barn run to mow down Slingshot Tiller and take the one-length run in 22.82 seconds.
