By Joyce Hanson (July 22, 2022, 8:25 p.m. EDT) – A federal judge in Washington has approved the settlement of a trademark lawsuit brought by Seattle’s Space Needle against a local coffee chain, which it accused of use logos that are almost identical to the logo of the popular tourist destination.
U.S. District Judge S. Kate Vaughan’s order issued Thursday dismissed with prejudice all claims filed by privately-held Space Needle LLC against NRBM LLC, which does business as Local Coffee Spot, a chain of four locations in Seattle.
