Among the Chinese recently converted to this rich drink is Nini, from the city of Laibin, in the Zhuang Autonomous Region of Guangxi (southern China). She heard about Turkish sand coffee some time ago and finally experienced the real taste of coffee.

As a visitor to the exhibition, Nini watched in amazement as Osan worked his magic, then tasted the resulting drink.

“People don’t know much about this coffee culture, but since the start of the year more and more people have started to learn more about it,” Osan said.

His company often brings utensils to exhibitions and malls to display and brew coffee on location, and many people are captivated by this unique method.

“We have clients in Beijing, Shanghai, Yiwu, Ningbo and elsewhere, and they really like this Turkish style,” he said.

“In addition to coffee, this utensil set can also make milk tea and hot milk. I think this is one of the reasons why it has become more and more popular,” Osan said.

Due to the pandemic, international shipping rates and material costs have increased. However, Osan is not particularly worried. According to him, the Chinese economy is recovering well and high-quality products are still popular in the market.

He said he would continue to import Turkish coffee and promote the culture of sand-brewed coffee in more places across China.
