Vancouver’s beloved Beanstock Coffee Festival returns in August

0

Great news, coffee addicts and enthusiasts. After a three-year hiatus due to the pandemic, Vancouver’s beloved Beanstock Coffee Fest is finally making a comeback. Presented by Breville Canada, the festival will showcase some of the best third-wave independent coffeehouses. Mark your calendars and get ready to connect with local coffee roasters from across Western Canada!

The festival

“Vancouver is widely regarded as the origin of specialty coffee culture, which is why we chose the city to host the Beanstock Coffee Festival this year,” said Adrian Griffin, Beanstock Coffee Festival Producer. “In recent years, third wave coffee – a movement towards high-quality, artisanal and fair trade alternatives – has exploded, and this event allows us to pay tribute to the specialty coffee roasters who are driving the movement.”

Coffee

This year’s event shakes things up with coffee from Pallet Coffee Roasters, House of Funk, Nemesis Coffee and more. Plus, guests can take part in a home brewing demonstration where professional baristas will show people how to brew exceptional coffee at home.

The Greenhouse Stage (sponsored by Danone’s Silk Plant-Based Products) will feature in-depth conversations about sustainable coffee production. In terms of non-coffee related activities, there will be food trucks and an open market to browse, as well as an outdoor lounge.

The very first happy hour

Honestly, nothing sounds better than cold brew coffee on a hot day. But Absolut and Kahlua go even further with the very first happy hour of the festival! Cold infused cocktails and music?? Count on us.

The festival will take place at the Roundhouse Community Center in Yaletown. Early bird tickets are available for $30 per day or $50 for a weekend pass.

All tickets include samples of handmade specialty coffees, a reusable ceramic Beanstock mug, and two sample bags of roasted coffee from the roaster of your choice. You can learn more about event programming and more here.
